  • Give the child everything he wants. This way he will grow up to believe the world owes him a living.

  • When he picks up bad words, laugh at them. That will make him think he is amusing.

  • Never give him any spiritual training. Wait until he’s twenty-one and then let him decide for himself.

  • Pick up everything he leaves lying about- books, shoes, clothes; do everything for him so that he will be experienced in throwing all responsibilities on to others.

  • Quarrel frequently in his presence. This way he will not be shocked when the home is broken later.

  • Give him all the pocket money he wants.

  • Never let him earn his own. Why should he have things as tough as you did?

  • Satisfy his every craving for food, drink and comfort. Denial may lead to harmful frustration.

  • Take his side against neighbors, teachers, policemen and all authorities. They are all prejudiced against your child.

  • When he gets into serious trouble, apologize for yourself saying, “I could never do anything with him.”

  • Prepare for a life of grief. You are bound to have it.
